Wilmington, NC – North Carolina Forestry Officials say the state's burning ban prohibits some luminaries this holiday season.
Luminaries are those paper bags containing lit candles that often line sidewalks. And if those paper bags are more than 100-feet from an occupied dwelling then the burning ban applies.
Forestry officials remind campers that neither tents nor RV's count as an occupied dwelling making campfires banned as well.
