Cinematique Presents "Timbuktu"

Settled peacefully in the dunes on the outskirts of Timbuktu, Kidane and his family live happily, undeterred by the Jihadists that are causing so much trouble for the population of Timbuktu.  Within Timbuktu, everything from music to laughter is banned, women are forced to have little to no function in society and the new, improvised law is enforcing more tragic and absurd rules everyday. In this stunningly rendered film, Kidane and his family are abruptly thrown in the ring against these seemingly insurmountable forces in a fight that leaves viewers both enamored and empowered. (PG-13, 1 hr 37 min)
