The Port City Highland Games is celebrating its third year of bringing Highland Games to the Lower Cape Fear region, an area rich in Scottish history and heritage. Again this year, we are pleased to partner with the Southeastern Highland Athletic Group (S.H.A.G.) to present the East Coast Women’s Championship Games, and we will also host the British Motor Club of the Cape Fear’s Annual Car Show. All the other trappings of a traditional Highland Games, including herding demonstrations, vendors, food trucks, music, dancing, and children’s games will be part our event. We are also proud to partner with the Scottish American Military Society and the Port City Pipes and Drums. Flying Machine Brewery will be producing another special brew for the PCHG, as well as hosting a Friday evening pre-Games party. New this year, we look forward to welcoming the Triangle Sword Guild, who will demonstrate various types of sword fighting, as well as offering a fun opportunity to learn hands-on!
