Find some unique handmade Carolina decore and gifts at Brunswick Plantation’s annual Arts & Crafts Fair on Saturday, Oct. 23 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Brunswick House, 382 Brunswick Dr., Calabash, NC. Since the event is held indoors, it will be open to the public, rain or shine. Items include traditional and pine needle baskets, wood turned bowls, vases and flowers, hand sewn original capes, granite cutting boards, many felt items, waxed linen things, artwork, photography, knitted items, Cricut mugs, bottles, wine tumblers, jewelry, decoupage seashells, macramé jewelry, mini journals, stained glass mosaics, pottery, key rings, magnets, crocheted scarves, bags, wallets, and keychains of cork and cotton canvas, stick on sewing appliqués, photo cards, seashell art and other items. The Brunswick Quilters will hold a drawing for a large handmade quilt that benefits newborns at local hospitals as well as veterans and others. Admission and parking are free. Follow the sweet aroma next to the crafts fair as Brunswick Plantation’s non-profit group, Neighbors In Service, will be selling baked goods to benefit local charities in Brunswick County.
