Advance Screening of Ken Burns' "The American Revolution" Documentary

On the eve of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, get a early peek at segments from across the 12-hour series, premiering Nov. 16 on 8pm on PBS NC and streaming free on PBS.org or the PBS app. The series will delve into the military, social, cultural and political stories that defined the fight for independence, and features more than 200 actors including Tom Hanks, Meryl Streep, Josh Brolin, Laura Linney and narrator Peter Coyote giving a voice to the men and women who forged a nation.
Following the screening, stick around for a panel featuring historians and experts from the Cape Fear's Revolutionary-era historic sites and organizations to learn about what's happening locally to celebrate this momentous anniversary in American history!
