This weekend, Brunswick Little Theatre (BLT) in Southport opens a show that's a real departure from its usual fare. Stop Kiss is a play that is structured unusually with a non-linear timeline, and the story is about two women in love who are physically attacked at their first kiss. The play was written by Diana Son, who has writing credits with Satellites, Law & Order, Criminal Intent, Southland and Blue Bloods.
Director Beth Strickland and actor Brandi Simmons joined us to talk about the show, running June 17-19 & 24-26. The interview airing on WHQR is above, with a special Web Extra about the non-linear structure of the play below.
Stop Kiss: June 17-19 & 24-26. Fridays/Saturdays @ 7:30. Sundays @ 3:00.
Tickets are available online, at the door, at Ricky Evans Gallery in Southport (Howe Street) and Sugar Confections Bakery in Shallotte (Main Street).
