Ronnie Wise and David Tousignant tell us about Coastal Carolina Christmas, two nights at St. Paul's Episcopal Church that feature two different concerts. On Friday, December 12 The Wilmington Boys Choir makes its official debut along with the choirs of St. Paul's and soloists (Nancy King, Whitney Lanier, Sara Westermark, Bob Workmon and John Callison) performing traditional music of the season. Also featured will be selections from Benjamin Britten's Ceremony of Carols and Saint-Seans' Christmas Oratorio. A champagne and chocolate reception will follow the performances.
On Saturday, December 13 the Christmas Cabaret features the Bob Scalia Jazz Ensemble and Wilmington's beloved Grenoldo Frazier. Hors d'oeuvres, dessert, wine and beer will be served.
Tickets for each concert are $25, available in advance from the church's website spechurch.com
Proceeds benefit the Wilmington Boys Choir, Mother Hubbard's Cupboard and Samaritan's Purse.
