Daniel Metz is the producer, co-writer and one of the five actors in a new feature film called Hide and Seek. The film will be shown TONIGHT at 7 pm at Thalian Hall for Cucalorus. Born in Boston, Daniel currently lives in London with his wife Joanna Coates, who is director and also co-writer of the film. Hide and Seek follows four young people who flee the cynicism and financial pressures of the big city and establish their own commune in the country. Filmed in just two weeks on the border of England and Wales, the movie just won the top prize in the Edinburgh Film Festival. Daniel describes the film as "gentle" and "utopian." Daniel is also known for producing the film Slacker 2011, and for co-starring in the film Computer Chess (which played across the U.S. and Europe in 2013).
