A word about the VERA QUARTET:

Winners of the 2018 Astral Artists National Auditions, the Vera Quartet is currently in Residence at the Curtis Institute of Music-following  on the heels of the Aizuri Quartet (CMW January,  2019). The quartet received Grand Prizes at recent Plowman and Yellow Springs chamber music competitions, and the Wigmore Hall String Quartet Competition.

Formed in 2015, these rising stars have held residency at the Beethoven Haus in Bonn, Aspen Music Festival, Norfolk Festival, McGill International String Quartet Academy, and the Banff Centre, and has embarked on tours of Spain and South Korea. You may have heard them on NPR’s Performance Today where they served as Young Artists in Residence in 2017. They embody a long quartet string tradition having been mentored by members of the Guarneri, Juilliard, Cleveland, Pacifica and Tokyo quartets.

Mary Bradley moved to Wilmington from Los Angeles, CA in May 2007 with her husband Frank and twin baby daughters, Maggie and Kate.
