Seeking to uncover the origins of the rabid homophobia of the conservative church, a gay seminary scholar and a straight activist make a shocking discovery: In 1946 an erroneous translation of the term homosexual in the Bible that has been weaponized against the LGBTQIA+ community ever since.
The first Silver Pride Cinema Festival in Wilmington, NC, takes place on May 10, 2025, at Jengo's Playhouse, featuring four screenings, including three feature films and a shorts block. Hosted by Silver Pride Circle of the Cape Fear, the event aligns with the group's mission to foster community and education for LGBTQ+ individuals over 50.
