Cleaning Up After Dorian

By early afternoon Friday business owners were removing the plywood panels over their windows downtown, and residents were raking leaves and debris in their yards. It was almost like Dorian was never here for some.

Carol lives in an older home on 5th Avenue not far from Castle Street. With a leaf blower in hand, she’s almost done cleaning up Dorian’s debris.

“Downtown looks good huh? A lot less damage, thank God. Unfortunate for The Bahamas, but God bless all of us. Just get rid of the debris and we're good to go. We're good to go. Downtown is in good shape.”

Some businesses were already back open by Friday afternoon.
