9-29-10 – All 8 candidates for the New Hanover County Board of Education participated in a candidate forum held in the WHQR gallery. The event was a joint effort among the Cape Fear Economic Development Council, the Star News, the Wilmington Business Journal, and WHQR.
The candidates for New Hanover County Board of Education include: Janice Cavenaugh, Don Hayes, Derrick Hickey, Ed Higgins, Joyce Huguelet, Nick Rhodes, Philip Stine, and Clancy Thompson.
One of our live audience members asked each of the candidates what he or she has done or will do to help lower the high school dropout rate in New Hanover County.
