Wilmington, NC – The seven members of The Love Language, an indie band from Raleigh, are kicking off a national tour in Wilmington tonight.
The Love Language formed a year ago and combines several instruments including guitar, bass, drums, keyboard, organ, and vocals to create what bass player Josh Pope calls "60's garage soul." Pope says playing with the band is a blast.
"We're all seven very good friends who like having fun and playing music. A lot of people tell us, you know, they feel an energy or that there's that kind of additional vibe or collective spirit that we have on-stage."
Tonight's show at the Soapbox in downtown Wilmington kicks off the band's national tour and celebrates its first CD release.
