Wilmington, NC – With the numbers jostling up and down all last night, unofficial results show republican Prevatte finally won by fewer than two percentage points over democrat Kathryn Bannerman. Prevatte says she can't wait to get to work.
"I plan to save Pender County some money, do a lot of upgrades in our office--a lot of implementing new programs that need to be implemented. I plan to work closely with other departments that come into our office and try to work with us."
As for the Pender County clerk of courts race, republican Robert Kilroy beat out democrat Valerie Lee Jordan.
