Wilmington, NC – Builders can get back to business in the northeastern parts of New Hanover County.
The state's Department of Environment and Natural Resources last night lifted its moratorium on new sewer hook-ups in areas around the Northeast Interceptor sewer line and the Northside Wastewater Treatment Plant.
The state put the brakes on building last May after several major spills on the sewer line, requiring the city to make a number of major repairs. That work was completed last Friday.
