Cape Fear Community College has an open spot on its Board of Trustees. That’s because John Babb has announced his resignation. His is one of the four seats appointed by the New Hanover County Board of Education.
John Babb was first selected for the Board of Trustees in 2015.
Prior to his role with CFCC, he had retired from serving as a U.S. Customs and Border Protection deputy director, and instructor.
He tells WHQR that his decision to step down has nothing to do with the current college administration or the direction of the school. He says his decision to resign is strictly personal.
His term lasts through June 30th of next year.
Those interested in applying for the board can submit materials until noon on Tuesday, December 18th. Further details are available from the New Hanover County Board of Education.
