Delmer Wells' Story

Wilmington, NC – Pender County native Delmer Wells received a POW medal for the months he spent held captive by German forces in WWII.

On April 5, 2007 he received nine medals, including the POW medal and Bronze Star for his service.

Wells was held captive from February to May of 1945.
