SPRING 2019 PLEDGE DRIVE INDIVIDUAL PHONE VOLUNTEER SCHEDULE
WHQR needs individuals to answer phones during our Pledge Drive. Pledges are taken by computer, so all volunteers should feel comfortable typing and using the system. Shifts begin with a brief orientation and can be a fun way to meet other Public Radio fans and hang out with the WHQR staff! To sign up, email Madeline at firstname.lastname@example.org with the specific day and time that you would like to take and your name and contact information. If you would like to put together a phone team from your business or non-profit, click here. It is a great way to get recognition as we thank your organization many times on the air. Shifts fill up quickly, so please let us know if you would like to volunteer as well as a second choice if possible. (SHIFTS ARE LISTED BELOW. SEE GRID)
More shifts may become available. Please be sure to check back.
Become a Regular WHQR Volunteer
We know that everyone has something unique to contribute, and we offer a variety of ways you can assist. Experience is not necessary to volunteer, just enthusiasm and commitment. We will provide training in exchange for your time and commitment. Volunteering your time is a great way to meet new people, gain valuable job experience and have some community spirited fun! Here are just a few ways you can volunteer at WHQR:
- Answer phones for on-air pledge drives (these usually take place in March and October)
- Receptionist duties at the front desk
- Help facilitate our monthly gallery receptions
- Various clerical assignments
- Assist with mailings in our membership department
