Join other Public Radio lovers, WHQR staff, board and friends at Southport Tap and Cellar. Celebrate your community focused non-profit radio station all while drinking local beer. From 5-7p on Thursday, August 8, Southport Tap and Cellar will donate $.50 of each beer sold to WHQR. Red Oak Brewery will also be there with a free tasting!

There will be two special rebroadcasts of the Soup To Nuts LIVE! 2019 show featuring "Into The Fog." The rebroadcasts will be Friday, May 29th 2020 at 7pm and Saturday, May 30th at 9pm. To learn more about the original show, click here

The Last Black Man In San Fransisco runs from Monday, August 5th thru Wednesday, August 7th. It screens Monday to Wednesday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Main Theatre.

Non-fiction runs from Monday, July 29th thru Friday, August 2. It screens Monday to Friday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Stein Theatre.

Pavarotti runs from Monday, July 22nd thru Wednesday, July 24th. It screens Monday to Wednesday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Main Theatre.

Echo In The Canyon runs from Monday, July 15th thru Wednesday, July 17th. It screens Monday to Wednesday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Main Theatre.

All Is True runs from Monday, July 8th thru Wednesday, July 10th. It screens Monday to Wednesday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Main Theatre.

Cinematique of Wilmington, a series of independent, classic, foreign and notable films co-sponsored by WHQR 91.3fm Public Radio and Thalian Hall Center for the Performing Arts, Inc., is pleased to announce an upcoming double feature and panel discussion. On June 8, at Thalian Hall’s Stein Theater, there will be a screening of the 2019 film Bolden at 3:00pm and a screening of Louis at 5:00pm. A panel discussion led by Jon Cornick, the producer for both Bolden and Louis, follows the screeningsOther panel guests include Brian Stultz, Production Designer, Rudy Persico, 1st AD, Craig & Lisa Mae Fincannon, Casting Directors, and Alice Powell, Costume Supervisor.

Woman at War runs from Monday, June 3 thru Friday, June 7. It screens Monday to Friday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Stein Theatre.

 

The Mustang runs from Monday, May 27 thru Wednesday, May 29. It screens Monday to Wednesday at 7pm with an additional screening on Wednesday at 4pm in Thalian Hall’s Main Theatre.

WHQR and Chamber Music Wilmington present a Masterclass with the Vera String Quartet from the Curtis Institute in Philadelphia, on Sunday, April 14th from 1-2:15pm in the MC Erny Gallery.  Students should bring their own music stand.
