Habitat For Humanity: Goods Move From Shabby To Chic By Designers
Local designers have re-purposed items from Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity's Restore-and the sale is this weekend. The painting, reupholstering, and screw-tightening is finished, and items have been placed in 10'x10' vignettes. Habitat's goal is to raise $45,000 to build a new home by selling the goods at the Schwartz Center at Cape Fear Community College.
Friday, March 11 is the VIP Preview Party and Sale, running from 6:00-9:00 pm. Tickets for this first-pick event are $40 in advance, $45 at the door. If you don't mind having second viewing, the General Public Sale is on Saturday, March 12 from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Tickets are just $5 on Saturday. Also on Saturday, DIY "upscale" demonstrations will be ongoing throughout the space.
