Port City Music Fest: Free Performances through Sunday
"[Camerata Philadelphia] is an ensemble without boundaries." -Stephen Framil, Director
Christine Farley and Stephen Framil met several years ago in Virginia when Christine decided to become a non-traditional student of the cello. Stephen was teaching a workshop. They became fast friends, and with their common love of music, they created the Port City Music Festival.
Stephen is the director of Camerata Philadelphia based in Pennsylvania. This "out of the box" ensemble, in various manifestations, has come to Wilmington for the past 7 years as the heart of festival performances. Local performers are also involved.
There are three concerts left at the time of this writing: ESPANA at the Cameron Art Museum, Thursday, 6/11 @ 7:30; VIVE LA FRANCE at Beckwith Recital Hall, UNCW, Friday 6/12 @ 7:30; and A LA RUSSE at First Presbyterian Church on 3rd Street, Sunday 6/13 @ 5:00.
All performances are free of charge.
