Boiling Spring Lakes hosts the third annual Fire In The Lakes Festival Saturday, March 24th from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Angie Carl, Fire Specialist with The Nature Conservancy, and Brian Council, District Ranger with the North Carolina Forest Service stopped by the WHQR studios to talk with Rachel Lewis Hilburn about the Festival, why controlled burns are critical to the maintenance of southeastern North Carolina's bio-diverse ecosystem, and how to protect your home against wildfires.
