Wrightsville Beach Closes Oceanfront Strand & Soundside Beaches; Residents/Visitors Can Still Enter

Town of Wrightsville Beach

On Friday, March 20th, the Mayor and Board of Alderman of Wrightsville Beach declared a state of emergency for the Town. Until further notice, the order will remain in effect until March 31st. Wrightsville Beach Town officials say effective immediately the oceanfront beach strand and southside beaches are closed to residents and visitors. And, all Town restrooms will be closed.

Residents and visitors to the Town are also reminded to refrain from using parks and other public spaces.

But, at this time, residents and visitors are still able to enter and leave Wrightsville Beach without going through a checkpoint and displaying a tax decal or re-entry pass.
