CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

This Weekend: The Native Plant Festival is (also) for the Birds

Amir Muhammad & Trinity Greiner

Charley Winterbauer, President of the Cape Fear Audubon Society, joined us in the studio last week.  The Audubon Society has a special program, "Discover the Wonder of Birds," a hands-on, interactive experience for youth and adults to learn about our feathered friends.  The program travels to schools and community centers; this weekend, it will be a part of The Native Plant Festival at the New Hanover County Arboretum

Students Amir Muhammed and Trinity Greiner experienced the Audubon's Bird program at school; they joined Charley in the studio to talk about what they learned.

The Plant Festival has a variety of activities, including a schedule of speakers, displays, a seed swap, horticulture experts to give advice-plus food and music.   The festival runs 9:00 am to 5:00 pm on Saturday, October 17th at the Arboretum 6206 Oleander Drive
