Thank You! 265 people pledged yesterday to raise a total of $21,265 for your public radio station and to help plant trees in our community!

WHQR will be announcing the sweepstakes winner soon! We will be sure to share updates and photos of the tree plantings!

When you support WHQR’s One-Day Drive on December 13th, 2018, you’re also supporting our local environment. For every pledge made, the NC Division and the Appalachian Society of American Foresters will make a donation to the Alliance for Cape Fear Trees to purchase and replant trees to replace those lost in Hurricane Florence.

Mary Bradley moved to Wilmington from Los Angeles, CA in May 2007 with her husband Frank and twin baby daughters, Maggie and Kate. In California, Mary had been Drive Director and the producer of Elvis Mitchell's nationally syndicated public radio interview program "The Treatment" for public radio station KCRW for ten years. Mary was raised in Rhode Island and graduated from Boston University. Mary recently served as President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Cape Fear Chapter.
