Prologue: "Crazy Beach: Disc One" by Dr. Lynn R. Welborn

PROLOGUE STARTS AT NOON

Monday, January 14th

The MC Erny Gallery

On Monday, January 14th, at NOON in the MC Erny Gallery, we will sit down to discuss Crazy Beach: Disc One with author Dr. Lynn R. Welborn and Ben Steelman of Wilmington's StarNews.

About the Author:

Dr. Lynn R. Welborn has always wanted to stop by a local clothes donation box and as suggested, donate his clothes. The set he’s wearing. His better half always drives past quickly hoping he won’t see it, because it’s hard to tell when he’s bluffing. When he is not trying to fulfill this lifelong dream, he is barreling towards another adventure with limited finesse, but always utmost joy. You’ll often find him at a concert, with his friends playing trivia in a crowded bar, or listening to the blues. The author is an award-winning journalist and professor, and hopes you enjoy some of the happy insanity and magic of his youth….

About Crazy Beach Novel:

It's the soundtrack of boyhood adventure, the girls of summer, and a journey to Woodstock through the eyes of a young stowaway. Crazy Beach: Disc One takes readers back to the vacations of their youth, music included. A wild youthful adventure that is at times gut-busting funny, but is also painted with heart-wrenchingly melancholy. Each chapter is a "track" with a famous song and artist from long ago helping framing the story. It helps you remember the joy of your coming-of-age era, along with subtle reminders that no one past is always perfect. Crazy Beach: Disc One has been included on several of “best of 2018 lists”, “suggested reading charts”, and has been nominated for numerous book awards. Crazy Beach: Disc Two will be published in spring 2019.
