Friday Feedback for February 26, 2016

NPR
Thank you WHQR for helping us focus more on our similarities than our differences. -- Olivia

Here are a couple of thank-yous that really belong to NPR, but I thought our listeners might like to hear them. Listener Anne Van Slyke wrote:

As an avid WHQR listener, I wanted to thank you for correctly reporting a story about The Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Many times this church is mistaken for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints which causes people to misunderstand the beliefs and practices of The "Mormon" church. As a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, I am very grateful to your station for clearly stating the difference between the Fundamentalist church and The "Mormon" church. Thank you again for showing respect to The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by making this important distinction. Have a wonderful week and keep up the great reporting!

Listener Olivia wrote:

Thank you for airing Steve Inskeep’s story “A Poets Verses Still Set Hearts Aflame”. I was so inspired by the story, that I immediately went to the WHQR web site and was visually delighted by the beautiful photos complementing the story. This type of reporting shines a light on the common human bond that we share with other cultures, the bond of love. Thank you WHQR for helping us focus more on our similarities than our differences, so we can live more harmoniously on this planet.

Listeners Cathy and George wrote:

We love both stations!

Listeners Bill and Gennie were very happy following one of our membership campaigns. They wrote:

Thank you very much for the iPad we won!

Listener Tim in Jacksonville wrote concerning Smooth Landing:

Dammit, Schneibner, how do you do it? My wife thinks I'm nuts, a 58 year old man dancing around the stereo. But, I swear, tonight was the best Smooth Landing EVER!! And it's not just the liquor talkin’…
