Everyone who participates gets this ceramic medallion

Cameron Art Museum is holding a race: Art Moves Midtown, 5K & Minnie's Fun Run.  The race begins at 7:30 am Saturday, with the 5K course beginning at CAM's Pyramid, through Forks, Halyburton Park, and finishing under the Mel Chin sculpture.  Minnie's Fun Run is a truncated course of 1 mile. Folks can sign up as late as Saturday morning.

Everyone who finishes either race receives a ceramic medal, while winners will receive a ceramic vessel (both created by Renato Abbate).  Winning categories for the 5K:  1st, 2nd & 3rd M/F; Awards 1st-3rd for 5-year age groups through 65+ in 5K; Minnie’s Fun Run will have awards 1st-3rd.

There's also Costume Awards for the Best Artist Look-A-Like, and Best Interpretation of Art.

The Awards Ceremony, following the race, includes food, drink, music, art activities, and free admission to CAM's exhibition galleries for all the participants.  Live Oak Bank is sponsoring this event.

Renato Abbate created these vessels with the image from Minnie Evans' work. These are the prizes for race winners.
