We are pleased to announce that Ben Schachtman, currently the Managing Editor of Port City Daily, will move into the newly created position of Managing Editor at WHQR, on October 15th, 2020.
Schachtman has been a guest on several occasions on WHQR's CoastLine, hosted by Rachel Lewis Hilburn. Of his new position, Schachtman says, “I’ve been lucky enough to collaborate with the WHQR team in the past and I’m looking forward to joining the newsroom as Managing Editor. Public media has never been more important, so I’m honored and excited to help lead this next chapter for WHQR.”
