The group charged with determining the future of the New Hanover Regional Medical Center is getting back to work. The last three meetings had been cancelled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. Thursday the Partnership Advisory Group gets back together, but in a virtual way.
Members of the advisory group will gather Thursday afternoon, but not in the usual conference room at the county’s Government Center. Until further notice, their meetings will be online. PAG Co-Chair Barbara Biehner.
“In our current normal, we will be doing them remotely. We will actually have an all call-in type of meeting where we are all in our homes, hopefully safely in our homes. We will be doing it interactively. It’s a conference call and virtual and that way we have people, we have everyone adhering to social distancing.”
“For the beginning of the meeting it will be open session. So we will do a brief update on the responses we received and we will then go into a closed session to get into the details of the actual responses.”
Next week, details of the six responses will be made available to the public. Vince Winkel, WHQR News.
THE MEETING STARTS AT 5:30 THURSDAY. THE PUBLIC CAN DIAL IN AT 415-655-0003 TO LISTEN TO THE OPENING REMARKS.
