Wilmington, NC – Drivers in the region are not only grappling with high gas prices, but also with construction work closing lanes on both bridges connecting Wilmington to Brunswick County.

WHQR's Catherine Welch sat down with Star-News transportation reporter Patrick Gannon to talk about what's going on with area bridges.

North Carolina Department of Transportation officials warned drivers last month that it would have to make emergency repairs to both the Cape Fear Memorial Bridge and Isobel Holmes Bridge.
