Wilmington, NC – North Carolina has spent the last few weeks under the national spotlight as the two democratic presidential candidates stump for votes.

WUNC's Laura Leslie has spent the past few weeks following the race. She interviewed Hillary Clinton about her race in the Tar Heel state.

Laura Leslie also talked with Barack Obama about his race in North Carolina

The day before the North Carolina primary was a day with lots of emails from the campaigns of both Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. They both offered up a list of celebrities wanting to support their candidate. And WHQR's Alyson Novak stepped up to the microphone to quiz these celebs about their politics and star power.

The Clinton campaign emailed an opportunity to interview Rob Reiner, but he was already booked. So they sent musician Carole King our way.

Meanwhile Barack Obama's campaign emailed a laundry list of Hollywood stars. Actor Blair Underwood talked about how his role in the the HBO series "In Treatment" informed his views on Iraq.

Actor Alfe Woodard shared her views on how social issues impact everyone.
