Wilmington, NC – District Attorney Ben David says he will meet tomorrow with the father of slain suspect Peyton Strickland.

David says he has already talked with Don Strickland about this weekend's deadly incident and has told Strickland that he will follow the truth.

Sheriff's deputies team up with UNCW police Friday night to serve search and arrest warrants at Strickland's Wilmington home when he was shot and killed inside the doorway.

The 18-year-old Strickland was a suspect in the robbery of a pair of Play Station 3 video game systems.

New Hanover County Sheriff Sid Causey says the deputies were there to secure the scene so UNCW police could perform the search.

David says the names will be released next week of three deputies at the scene who are now on paid administrative leave. David says it's important not to rush to judgment in this case.

I again commit to this community, and I ask for their calm while I'm doing it, that we are going to be thorough, we are going to be fair to everyone, and that wherever the facts lead us and whatever is supported by the law is the decision I'm going to make.

David says the State Bureau of Investigation and the state Attorney General's office are investigating the shooting.

Strickland is the son of a prominent Raleigh attorney.

Another suspect in the robbery, Ryan David Mills, was scheduled Monday to make his first appearance in court.
