Ways to Stream WHQR Online

Listen to WHQR wherever you go & whenever you need us with our streams and apps! There are several ways to hear WHQR's live stream online or via your favorite devices:

1. On Our Website

Click the play button on the dark teal banner at the top of our website. Use the arrow button on the right hand side to toggle between HQR News and Classica. Then let your favorite show play while you browse our site or surf the web.

2. Smark Speaker

To hear WHQR News or Classical, just ask your Alexa or Google Home device: "Play WHQR News from Tunein" or "Play Classical HQR from Tunein." And enjoy! 

3. WHQR App

The WHQR offers easy access to our live stream, recent news stories, and your favorite NPR shows on demmand. You can find the app in the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. The app makes it easy to listen to WHQR wherever you have your smartphone or tablet.

4. NPR One App

You may already use the NPR One app, but did you know you can use it to stream WHQR Live? Not only can you listen to WHQR's live stream, but you can listen to stories from your favorite NPR programs on demand. Just set WHQR as your home radio station and enjoy! 

5. Direct Links to streams

Some devices, such as internet radios, require the direct links to our live streams.

Mary Bradley moved to Wilmington from Los Angeles, CA in May 2007 with her husband Frank and twin baby daughters, Maggie and Kate. In California, Mary had been Drive Director and the producer of Elvis Mitchell's nationally syndicated public radio interview program "The Treatment" for public radio station KCRW for ten years. Mary was raised in Rhode Island and graduated from Boston University. Mary recently served as President of the Board of Directors of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Cape Fear Chapter.
