New Show at The WHQR Art Gallery
 Join us for a Fourth Friday Reception at the WHQR Art Gallery Friday, August 27 from 6 - 9 pm. Featuring the work of Libby Cullen and Sue Sneddon Coastal Views
Please join us to meet the artists and enjoy complimentary wine and light refreshments. All work is available for sale and a portion of the sale price benefits WHQR. Coastal Views brings together two great artists, a photographer and a painter, to celebrate the stunning North Carolina coast. This combined exhibit of photographs and paintings explores the wonderful differences and similarities of the two mediums. Libby Cullen is an educator and a commercial architectural and fine art photographer. Her work has been published in numerous magazines and newspapers and has been shown in museums and galleries. Some of Ms. Cullen's work is in the permanent collection of the High Museum of Atlanta. During her longtime residency in Washington, DC, Libby taught photography at American University, Gallaudet University, and the Smithsonian Institution. She continues to offer photography workshops in the Wilmington, NC area. When artist Sue Sneddon moved to Shallotte Point from Durham, NC in the spring of 2003, her childhood dream of living near the ocean finally came true. Sneddon's dream to have an art studio in close proximity to water also came true. The area's beaches, rivers, and marshes now provide endless inspiration for Sneddon's paintings and drawings. The reception is part of Fourth Friday Gallery Nights in Downtown Wilmington. The WHQR Gallery is located in The Warwick Building at 254 N. Front Street.
