Wilmington's Top Musicians Play Tango & More At Beckwith Recital Hall Thursday

Thursday night musicians

A group of superb musicians are joining forces on Thursday, March 24 to support UNCW'sCommunity Music Academy (CMA).  The performance is a benefit concert  featuring a reception, lush music, and a silent auction.  Performers include guitarists Rob Nathanson and Justin Hoke, violinist Danijela Zezelz-Gualdi, pianists Paolo Gualdi and Elizabeth Loparits, cellist Jake Wenger, and UNCW's new bassist, Natalie Boeyink. There is a tango theme to the music-but there will certainly be no boundaries when you put this much talent in the room, so expect the unexpected.

Danijela Zezelj-Gualdi, Artistic Director

The Artistic Director of the CMA, Danijela Zezelj-Gualdi, spoke with us in the studio.  She says music lessons for all ages are available in piano, voice, guitar, strings, winds and more, with instructors of the highest caliber. The CMA also has ensemble and workshop opportunities.  Listen to Zezelj-Gualdi speak about the CMA above.

This benefit performance is in Beckwith Recital Hall in the Cultural Arts Building at UNCW.  The reception begins at 7:00 (wine and treats) and the music begins at 7:30.  Tickets are available by phone at 910-962-3500, online, or at the box office the night of the performance.
