About half of WHQR’s staff left Wilmington to avoid Hurricane Florence. Jeff Hunter was the first of the staff to return -- and it wasn’t an easy journey. Jeff told WHQR’s Gina Gambony about the slow road home.
The North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) says there is still no safe, stable, or reliable route to get to or from Wilmington. The NCDOT also says that GPS is leading drivers to roads that should be avoided. Find the NCDOT’s list of roads believed least likely to flood over the coming days.
