CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

WHQR's End-Of-Year Pledge Drive a Success!

Thank you for your support of WHQR in our 1-day drive!

At 7 pm on Thursday, December 8th, WHQR's end-of-year drive had received almost $20,500 in pledges -- well over the goal of $18,000. Over 330 standard pieces of 2x4, one for each pledge made, will be donated by Pro Build of Wilmington to help our partner, Cape Fear Habitat for Humanity. That is enough lumber to build a whole house! These will be used by Habitat for its Blitz Build in the spring, when 5 houses will be built in one week.

Watch your email next Tuesday when we'll announce the winner of our drawing for an Apple iPad2. We're very grateful to the many listeners who renewed their support, joined the station for the first time, or made an additional gift. Every gift is important and appreciated!

It's not too late to make your end-of-year gift. If you received a letter from us, simply return the form to us, or pledge online at any time.

Thank you for your support!
