Soup to Nuts Live! Presents: Jon McDonald

Soup to Nuts Live! welcomes long-time veteran of the Chicago blues music scene, Jon McDonald, on Thursday, June 23rd in the MC Erny Gallery at WHQR.

Band leader for Magic Slim & The Teardrops for 13 years, McDonald has worked with epic blues legends Koko Taylor, Hubert Sumlin, Sunnyland Slim, Robert Lockwood, and Junior Wells (to name only a few); and he has performed with Keb Mo', Paul Butterfield, Taj Mahal, Johnny Winter, Rory Gallagher, and Les Paul (that's the short list). Jon McDonald has over two dozen recordings to his credit and he's been a pivotal figure in the Chicago blues industry for decades; and he's got stories - lots of them.
