About the Author: Diane Chamberlain grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey, spending her summers reading Sinclair Lewis and Victoria Holt on the idyllic Jersey Shore. She has always had a wild imagination, but Chamberlain did not embark on a serious writing career until after she had spent some time in the medical social working field, eventually opening up her own private practice in Virginia. One day, while trapped in a waiting room at the doctor's office, Chamberlain began to pen a story that had been in her head for years...four years later she had written a novel. It took Chamberlain an additional three years to get her first novel published, but since then she has published over twenty novels.
