Beginning, Monday, May 9th on 91.3, HQR News will offer Here & Now at noon each Monday and Tuesday, as well as its 2 pm airing Monday through Thursday. Friday will see the move of Ken Rudin's Political Junkie to noon, completing our weekly news strip which features CoastLine on Wednesday and Thursday at 12:06. The State of Things, produced at sister our station WUNC in Chapel Hill, N.C., will now air Monday through Friday from 1 to 2 pm.
Starting, Saturday, May 14 at 1:00, is The Human Voice! While the Metropolitan Opera takes its annual summer-fall vacation, Classical HQR's Pat Marriott will fill the void Saturday afternoons with this new programming. Pat will offer up great singers of the moment and of yesteryear performing art songs, opera arias, musical theatre, choral repertoire, and everything in between.
