Rachel Lewis Hilburn sat down with Actor Gray Hawks and Director Justin Smith to discuss CityStage's imminent musical production, "The Full Monty".
The show chronicles the story of newly unemployed steel workers in Buffalo, NY who are out of options but intrigued by the idea of putting on their own Chippendales-like strip tease. In the process of putting the show together, they find some unexpected side effects -- like renewed self-esteem, good friends, and the ability to have fun.
In the December 15th interview, Rachel finds out whether the show will be different from CityStage's original production five years ago (which played to sold-out houses) and how the Director has chosen to handle the inevitable nudity.
"The Full Monty" opens December 29th at Thalian Hall. A special New Year's Eve Gala will be held December 31st. For details on the show, visit www.citystagenc.com. For tickets, call the Thalian Hall box office at 910.632.2285 or visit Thalian Hall online at www.thalianhall.org.
