CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE CLOSURE: UPDATES, RESOURCES, AND CONTEXT

Communique: Paul Wilkes On The Meaningful Life | Wednesday At St. James Episcopal

Homes of Hope, India
Paul Wilkes in India

Paul Wilkes Talk: Finding meaning (and making mistakes) in his life. Wednesday, April 26 at St. James Episcopal Church. Reception at 6:30pm, talk at 7:00pm

Paul Wilkes is a writer, philanthropist, and founder of Homes of Hope India, building orphanages, schools and medical facilities for abandoned and neglected girls. He's the author of 21 books, most recently Your Second to Last Chapter: Creating a Meaningful Life on Your Own Terms. Wilkes will speak about his successes and failures in finding meaning in his life Wednesday evening, 4/26, at St. James Episcopal Church. The evening begins with a reception at 6:30pm; the talk begins at 7:00pm.

Wilkes says the driving force for him is to do "the next right thing," whatever that may be in any situation. Pursuing success for its own sake, he says, doesn't get a person to the desired destination.
