Compton & Newberry bring legit Bluegrass to Thalian Hall on Thursday, 5/24. Mike Compton, the Master of Mandolin (you may know him from "O Brother, Where Art Thou"), and Joe Newberry, the award-winning songwriter and mulit-instrumentalist (banjo, guitar, fiddle), perform traditional songs and some new gems, too.
Even if you don't know how you feel about Bluegrass music, it might be a treat just to see two immensely talented performers so tautly connected by the music, singing and hammering out more sound than seems possible out of 2 instruments at a time..
