CAPE FEAR MEMORIAL BRIDGE: Updates, resources, and context

Communique: 9 Women In Big Dawg's "Love, Loss, And What I Wore" By Nora & Delia Ephron

James Bowling
Love, Loss, and What I Wore

Big Dawg Productions presents the popular all-woman play by Nora & Delia Ephron: Love, Loss, and What I Wore, based on Ilene Beckerman's book by the same name. The show runs April 5-22 at Cape Fear Playhouse.

The central character in this show is "Gingy," a woman who reflects on her life through the lens of notable outfits. Gingy is played by Christina Miller (formerly Brown), an award-winning actress who has been onstage for decades. Listen above to hear Christina and Director Susan Auten talk about the show.

This production is often staged with actresses seated in a "staged reading" format. This production, however, presents the collection of monologues, dialogues, and ensemble pieces fully staged.

In the final weekend of the show, "Gingy" will be played by another award-winning actress and singer we generally see in musicals: Michelle Reiff.

Find tickets online, by telephone at 910-367-5237 (leave a message to reserve), or at the door. The Cape Fear Playhouse is at 613 Castle Street. Showtimes are 8:00 pm Thursdays, Fridays, & Saturdays, and 3:00 pm Sundays through April 22.
