Cinematique Presents "Calvary"

Father James (Brendan Gleeson) is a priest who receives a death threat during confession and must find out who in his congregation is responsible before it's too late. Although he continues to comfort his daughter (Kelly Reilly) and reach out to help members of his church with their moral - and often comic - problems, he feels sinister forces closing in. Will he have the courage to face his own personal Calvary? A brilliant performance by all, Calvary faces weighty issues with humor, intelligence, and sensitivity. (R, 1hr 40min)

“A dark and profoundly funny tale of an institution failing its sheep and its best shepherds.” - Lisa Kennedy, Denver Post
