WHQR is honored to donate our great old upright piano to DREAMS. At WHQR, this beauty has been played by most musicians in town and we have many fond memories. We're sure it will make many new, exciting ones at its new home in The Gallery at DREAMS, their exhibit space.

We are pleased to announce WHQR is broadcasting classical music at 96.7 fm in much of the southern Brunswick county region! Yes, it’s been a long time coming, but we managed to turn on the switch July 9th. The signal on 96.7 is the same as Classical 92.7, broadcasting the classical music you love 24 hours per day. An expanding classical music signal was promised as part of our emPowering Our Future campaign. Welcome, southern Brunswick county listeners!

We are under construction! Phase 1 of our facility renovation project has begun. We are completely renovating the MC Erny Gallery, the kitchen, restrooms, and hallways. This is very exciting as this space has not seen any upgrades in many years. Renovations were made possible from the financial support of our community through WHQR's emPowering Our Future campaign.
