Christopher Fikry

Christopher Fikry, M.D., serves as executive vice president of PPD® Laboratories. In this role, he oversees the company’s global lab business, which includes central, bioanalytical, biomarker, vaccine and GMP labs and more than 2,700 employees across the U.S., Europe and Asia.

 
 
 
Before joining PPD in 2017, Dr. Fikry was vice president and general manager of oncology and companion diagnostics for Quest Diagnostics, which involved managing the company’s oncology business, including pathology and molecular diagnostics. During his tenure at Quest, he also served as vice president of clinical trials, in which he was responsible for a global business that provided central laboratory, biomarker and companion diagnostic services. Prior to that, he held a number of leadership roles at Novartis Vaccines and Diagnostics, including director of strategic planning, head of the U.S. meningococcal and the U.S. influenza and travel vaccine franchises, and, most recently, vice president of U.S. marketing. He began his career in the health care practice of The Boston Consulting Group, serving pharmaceutical and biotechnology clients.

 
 
 
Dr. Fikry holds dual degrees from the University of Pennsylvania, where he received his medical degree from the Perelman School of Medicine and a master’s degree in business administration from the Wharton School. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from the College of Arts and Science at New York University. 

 
 
 
Dr. Fikry and his wife Stephanie moved to Wilmington in 2017 with their two young children, Addison and Samuel.
