Barbara Sullivan
Barbara is a graduate of Middlebury College and George Washington University Law School. She moved to Wilmington in 1982 with her husband, Michael Murchison, a Wilmington native. They have two grown children. Barbara has worked as a Foreign Service Officer, an attorney, a French teacher, an arbitrator and a mediator. She currently works at Kids Making It, a local non-profit which teaches woodworking skills to at-risk teens. She is the author of Garden Perennials for the Coastal South published by UNC Chapel Hill Press in 2003, and was a WHQR garden commentator for eight years. In December 2011, she received her MFA in creative writing at UNCW.
