Kyle Simmons

Graduate Intern

Kyle is taking his first big spill into public radio (as an intern) after a lifetime of quizzical curiousity for the science of human sound.  He looks to this time as an endeavor into the broadening of his radiophonic imagination.  He is currently undergoing his second year of studies in the MFA Creative Writing program at UNCW where his primary focus is creative non-fiction.  He writes about things as seemingly unimportant as dental floss or as empyreal as time travel.  However, his true passion has truly been for music journalism.  If you're lucky, unlucky, or ultimately do not believe in luck, you may see Kyle in his wild habitat of downtown Wilmington riding his bike really, really fast, playing a pickup game of soccer, or howling at the sun's brilliant luminescence off the moon.

If you still would like to contact Kyle, this can be done by email at ksimmons@whqr.org.
